I just want to cry

When I saw this I just wanted to cry. Paris stood there for a minute and his head went back and forth to find his way out but he didn't know what room he was in. I took the picture then quickly rescued him.

  1. My newly blind dog (about a week ago) has been doing the same thing. It makes me so sad I DO cry. At least she's not walking hard into the walls so much which she did initially. Reading about Paris...well, it's just not fair, is it?
These sweet little creatures do nothing to hurt anyone. Seems so cruel to be robbed of their sight. I don't know if my dog is ever going to have any zest for living again.

  2. How did your dog lose her sight? How old is she?I hope reading about Paris will help you both adjust.

  3. Beachdog, my chihuahua just turned 10. She was misdiagnosed with congestive heart failure in January. Took her for a second opinion and CHF totally ruled out. She has SARDS (and took her to a veterinary ophthalmologist to confirm) and waiting for results of Cushing's test. Reading about Paris is bittersweet. I see there are good days and bad. A week ago I was ready to euthanize both of us, lol!! Today she show a little ore interest in her surroundings. If Cushing's definitely diagnosed, I hope she can be on meds that will help her feel better. Waiting on vet to call right this minute. Thanks for bringing Paris online. Good days and bad but fewer tears today. Can't promise about tomorrow. Who would have ever thought how hard this might be!!?? Unexpected.

  4. Yes it is hard but she will adjust, just be patient and loving, but try not to baby her so she can learn to do things for herself. Let me know what the vet says. You can email me if you'd like at wizbee1@yahoo.com.
